Dr. Lan A. Bui, DO
Background and Education
Dr. Bui has considered Michigan her home for over 20 years. After graduating from The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, she completed her medical school training at The University of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Sciences/Des Moines University. During her medical school career, she was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi honors society and held various National level positions in the Student Osteopathic Medical Association. Following medical school, Dr. Bui completed her obstetrics & gynecology residency at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan, where she was named Resident Teacher of the Year in 2001, 2002 and 2003, and received several awards for her resident research project.
Dr. Bui has practiced in southeast Michigan since 1998. She currently serves as Associate Program Directory of the OB/GYN Residency Program for Oakwood Healthcare System and is a founding member of a new medical practice specializing in women's healthcare, Michigan Women's Care, PLLC.
Dr. Bui’s medical interests include adolescent and menopausal medicine, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and laparoscopic surgery. On a personal note, she lives in southeast Michigan with her husband, young son and Labrador retriever. She enjoys traveling, water sports and reading.
Certification and Affiliations
Dr. Bui is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and is a Diplomat in the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is certified by the state of Michigan and the National Board of Medical Examiners and is affiliated with Oakwood Annapolis Hospital in Wayne and Oakwood Hospital & Medical Center in Dearborn.
